Winter Break Trip: Dominican Republic
January 16-23, 2027
We’re partnering with Mission of Hope and our AIA Volunteers (Grant & Elizabeth) to serve in the Dominican Republic. We’ll be doing a variety of things, from sports camps, service projects, ministry outreach, and community connection.
Through various meetings and materials, we’ll prepare you ahead of time for this cross cultural experience, one that will challenge and impact you while blessing and helping others.
DATES: arrive at the Cibao Interionatl Airport (STI) by 8pm Jan. 16th, depart anytime after 8am Jan. 23rd.
COST: $800 (this covers food, housing, ministry materials, translators, in-country transportation, and cross-cultural training).
You will need to book your own flight, but then you can be reimbursed.
We will help you gather a team of people to financially and prayerfully invest in you for this missionary endeavor.
Deadline to apply: October 30th
BONUS: go on the DR missions trip with and get a full scholarship for the winter retreat two weeks later!
Language of Sport
You don’t have to know Spanish to be of use for God’s Kingdom. Sport is like a universal translator—it works anywhere and everywhere. Different country, different culture, different context…same sport…same faith, same God.
Next Generation
We’ll have the opportunity to engage with kids via sports camps, church outreach events, school programs, and/or at Conani—a home for rescued girls.
Even a brief interaction can have a profound impact on the lives of these little ones. We’re praying to make the most of our time there.
Saved and Sent
God saves us and sends us. Part of the call of every Christian is a willingness to go make disciples anywhere—this short trip offers a taste of that great commission (Matt. 28:18-20). You’ll leave the states to bless and serve. You’ll come back changed and challenged.

Make sure passport is up to date and does not expire before our trip. If you need to obtain or renew your passport, do that asap: https://travel.state.gov/en/passports/apply.html
